Dry Gulch/CYF Mission Camp Information

Children’s and Youth ministry news

DRY GULCH – all Dry Gulch final payments are due July 1st. If you were unable to attend the parent/camper meeting on Sunday MAKE CERTAIN you have a professional do a head lice check. No child will be admitted into Dry Gulch with head lice or nits. Each child must have an envelope with money for McDonalds (marked with their name) to turn in to camp sponsors (Rick or Sondra Ladd) before we load the bus on Sunday. This money needs to be separate from the camp spending money that should be packed in the campers bag (make sure they know where to find it). We will begin loading in the church parking lot at 1:30 on Sunday afternoon and hope to be pulling from the parking lot no later than 2:00. We will return home Thursday, July 16th, between 12:30 and 2:00. Parents should expect a phone call with exact arrival time around 11:00am.

All prescription bottles should come in a Ziploc bag with a completed Dry Gulch Medication Label attached to it.

􀁻 Over-the-counter medications brought to camp will not be accepted at check-in. Designated medical professionals are available at the Nurses’ Station to dispense over-the-counter medication as needed. If an exception needs to be made for a child taking Claritin, Zyrtec, Miralax, etc., call the Registration Office for an OTC Authorization Form. No vitamins or herbs will be accepted without a doctor’s note.

Lost and Found

􀁻 All luggage must have a luggage tag that has been issued from Dry Gulch with the camper’s name, address, and phone number. You may obtain the tags from your group leader.

􀁻 The best way to prevent lost items is to have all of your camper’s clothing and belongings marked. Any items found in the bunkhouses will be laundered and held in the Camp Office for one week.

􀁻 If you have lost items, call the Camp Office at (918) 785-2156 with a complete description of the missing items. We will do our best to locate and return them to you. Lost and found items will be returned to you at your expense. Any items not called for within one week will be donated to Goodwill.

Spending Money

􀁻 We suggest bringing $25 - $30.
The Dry Gulch General Store is open for those who wish to purchase snacks or souvenirs. Counselors will collect campers’ money upon arrival at camp and place it on account in the General Store.
