This session our Connect groups completed construction of the CASA playhouse. The playhouse sold at the benefit auction for $1,200.00 Proceeds will benefit abused and neglected children in Payne County. We also completed the Sunday School remodel for the adult "parenting" class. The room is amazing and has received so many positive comments. Proceeds from the sales of Valentines were more than $1,000.00 and will benefit Friendship Camp. Play Date night for FCC parents and children was held Sunday, Feb. 21st and was a huge success. Children enjoyed and snack supper, games, crafts and activities. On Sunay Feb. 28th we held our pie making event and assembled 154 pies. Proceeds will go towards camp/mission trip scholarships. This Sunday will be assisting with road crew cleanup. We will meet immediately following the Contemporary Service for lunch and begin street cleanup by 2:00. There will be no youth group meeting Sunday night. We have also been challenged to help with First Sunday Food Drive - please remember to bring an item of food to be donated to the Food Pantry.
Next Session we will be working on projects and ideas for the Outreach Expo. This is going to be good - we need EVERYONE on board and involved. Come this Wednesday night and hear about the plans. We need your input and creativity. SEE YOU THERE!!!
